Steps

  1. Inventory one bounded business flow, including consumers and retained costs.

  2. Complete readiness evidence and classify each condition. Hold is a decision gap, not an averageable low score.

  3. Replace synthetic monthly USD inputs in Economics. Include retained legacy cost and one-time migration investment.

  4. Review cost and volume assumptions with finance and acceptance owners. Confirm actual retirement before recognizing savings.

Synthetic example

Current monthly cost $120,000 and 40,000 accepted outputs give $3.00 per output. Target cost $90,000 plus retained legacy $30,000 produces no transition saving. After retirement, the example $300,000 investment has ten-month simple payback at $30,000 monthly savings.

Scope

Simple payback excludes discounting, financing, taxes and changing volumes. It is directional and not an approved investment case. Readiness does not establish a production architecture.
